Job Title: Travel Labor & Delivery RN - High Risk / High Volume (Nights)
Job Description: Malone Healthcare is hiring an elite Travel L&D RN for a 13-week night-shift assignment at the prestigious Providence Swedish First Hill Campus in Seattle, WA. This is a high-volume, high-acuity unit averaging up to 600 deliveries a month across 31 beds and 4 dedicated ORs.
This facility has 0 hours of non-billable orientation (NBO) and accepts local candidates at the exact same travel rate! If you are a seasoned L&D nurse with a strong high-risk background and can circulate autonomously, we want to fast-track your submission for a June 29th start!
Weekly Schedule:
- Shift: Nights, 3x12-Hour shifts
- Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (19:00 - 07:30)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Flexibility: Work every other weekend and holidays as needed.
Position Requirements (Strict Facility Hard Stops):
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of dedicated L&D experience in a high-acuity, high-risk environment. 5+ years of high-risk experience is highly preferred. First-time travelers accepted if they meet the experience requirement.
- Core Skills: Must be fully competent to Circulate in the OR and function as a Baby Nurse (including newborn assessments, Erythromycin eye ointment, and Vitamin K injections). Profiles without these listed skills will not be reviewed.
- Systems: Direct hands-on experience with Epic and electronic fetal monitoring is required.
- Medications: Proficient with high-risk titrations including Magnesium Sulfate, Insulin, and Heparin.
- Certifications: Active BLS and NRP are required at submission. (ACLS and AWHONN Intermediate/Advanced preferred).
Submission Requirements:
- Must include proof of current Nursys verification and current supervisory references in the initial packet.
- Permanent employees of other Providence (non-Swedish) facilities must be separated for at least 3 months. Active Compact licenses are fully honored.
Unit Highlights:
- Environment: Follows AWHONN staffing guidelines. Serves a diverse patient demographic including midwifery clients, private OBs, and community care clinics.
- Floating: Must be willing to float to Postpartum/Antepartum and regional sister Mother/Baby facilities as needed.
- Onboarding: Modules are completed pre-start (self-reported, average 16 hours).
