Travel Cardiac ICU Registered Nurse (RN)
Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Contract: 13 Weeks
Join a high-acuity Cardiac ICU caring for critically ill cardiac patients, including post-operative open heart cases, cardiogenic shock, and acute myocardial infarction.
Requirements
- Active Wisconsin RN License
- BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
- CCRN preferred but not required
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiac ICU experience
- Required experience with:
- Swan-Ganz catheters
- Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps (IABP)
- Post-operative open heart patients
- Epic experience preferred
Unit Highlights
- 12-bed Cardiac ICU
- Patient population includes:
- Post-op open heart surgery
- Acute MI (AMI)
- Cardiogenic shock
- Induced hypothermia
- Critical cardiac care
- Nurse-to-patient ratios:
- 2:1 standard ICU
- 1:1 for Impella patients
- CRRT experience preferred
- Frequent bedside cardioversions, line placement, and line removal
Assignment Details
- 13-week contract
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 12-hour night shifts
- Float to inpatient units as needed, primarily within critical care and acute care
- Every 2–3 weekends (Friday–Sunday)
- Every other holiday
- Any solid-color professional scrubs accepted
