Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nursing position is located in Le Mars, Iowa. This role involves providing specialized obstetrics care predominantly in a critical access hospital setting that has received national recognition as a Top 20 Critical Access Hospital. The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) will focus on labor, delivery, and obstetrics, with additional responsibilities covering medical-surgical nursing when obstetrics needs are not present. The position includes charge nurse responsibilities as assigned, with shifts scheduled for 12 hours during weekdays, nights, and weekends, including holiday rotation.
Job Details:
- Location: Le Mars, Iowa
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts; weekday nights, weekend nights, and holiday rotation; minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in obstetrics nursing (OB/Labor and Delivery experience required), valid nursing license in the state of Iowa, minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, and experience in a hospital setting
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in charge nurse duties, critical access hospital experience, certification in neonatal or neonatal resuscitation programs (if applicable)
- Additional Information: The RN will provide obstetrics and labor and delivery care, covering med-surg when OB needs are not present. The role may include charge nurse shifts. Call is not expected but may be required; relevant rates are included if needed.
