Emergency Room Nurse - ER at Philadelphia, PA. The organization is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Nurse to join the team at a facility with a 28-bed Emergency Department. The role involves providing high-quality emergency care, managing a patient load of 4-5 patients per nurse, and utilizing a range of advanced medical equipment in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
- Position Description: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room (ER) at a healthcare facility with a 28-bed Emergency Department, including capacity for hallway stretchers. The department is a designated Primary Stroke Center and features Teladoc virtual neurology services for stroke care. While not a trauma or pediatric receiving facility, the ER stabilizes and transfers walk-in trauma and pediatric patients requiring higher-level care to specialized hospitals.
- Required Qualifications: RN licensed, at least 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications, proficient in EPIC charting, familiar with B. Braun IV pumps, Point-of-Care lactic and glucometer devices, EKG machines, Philips monitors, bedside bladder scanners, Ceribell rapid EEG device, with a valid license to practice in Pennsylvania or eligible for licensure.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, with a rotation every third weekend and working every other holiday.
- Additional Information: No float rotation is required. The department sees approximately 38,000 patients annually and seeks candidates with at least 1 year of ED experience. Candidates must be able to start on 09/28/2026 and work through 12/27/2026.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EHR systems and advanced neuro-monitoring devices is preferred.
