Job Summary
Telemetry (TELE) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a healthcare facility on the Days shift. This role involves providing care for patients with cardiac and other chronic conditions, including MI, CHF, A fib, and COPD, among others. The nurse will perform basic nursing duties, interpret EKGs, and titrate medications such as Cardizem and heparin.
Job Details

- Certifications: BLS (AHA); ACLS recommended
- Education Requirements: RN licensure; active IL license or confirmation of application process
- Experience Requirement: 2 years minimum experience in a clinical setting
- Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
- Responsibilities include interpreting strips, titrating drips, troubleshooting CPAP/BIPAP devices if applicable, and reading Phillips tele monitors.
- Common patient ratios: Days 1:4-5, nights 1:5-6, with PCT ratios of 1:8-9 during day shifts and 1:10-12 during nights.
- Float to other general medical units if required.
- Typical orientation: 1 shift or part of one, depending on prior experience with OSF facilities.
- Applicants must understand the facility's drug-free policy and be prepared to produce negative drug screens.
