Assignment Overview
Join a dynamic critical care team as a Registered Nurse in the CVICU unit, providing care for patients with complex cardiovascular conditions. Ideal candidates will have significant ICU experience, particularly in cardiovascular settings, and be comfortable working in a high-acuity environment.
Assignment Details
- Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2565 (negotiable)
- Shift details: 0700-1900 or 1900-0700
- Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
- Contract length: Flexible, either 36 or 48 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Provide immediate post-operative care for cardiac and thoracic surgeries
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms
- Manage various types of invasive line and ventilator/trach care
- Administer cardiac medications and sedation/paralytic agents
- Communicate and collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team
Qualifications
Required:
- 3 years of ICU experience with 1 year in CVICU
- BLS and ACLS Certifications
- Competency in invasive line monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Experience with EPIC charting system
Preferred:
- CCRN Certification
- Experience with ECMO, CVVH, IABP, VAD
