Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 10-bed rapid admission unit serving general medical and pre-surgical patients
- Manage a patient ratio of 5:1 in a fast-paced environment where patient census turns over at an accelerated pace compared to a standard med/surg unit
- Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Work independently to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs
- Maintain BLS and ACLS certifications as required for patient safety and unit compliance
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be verified through Nursys
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry nursing
- Ability to work independently and communicate clearly in a high-acuity, fast-paced setting
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a rapid admission or high-turnover med/surg environment
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and interpretation
- Experience caring for pre-surgical and general medical patient populations
