- Setting Focus: Med/Surg Oncology with telemetry monitoring
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
- Current acute care experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, or a related specialty with recent experience within the last 12 months
- Epic charting experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Valid compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission
- Experience with telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, and medical-surgical nursing preferred
- Ability to safely float within equivalent or lower-acuity nursing units
- Strong communication, adaptability, and team-oriented mindset
- Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric oncology patients with telemetry needs
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Support patients receiving chemotherapy, symptom management, and treatment for complex comorbidities
- Perform and assist with port access, central line care, PICC line management, and IV therapy
- Administer blood products and support safe infusion practices
- Manage dysrhythmias, interpret ABGs, and maintain strong clinical awareness
- Assist with chest tube care, tracheostomy care, and oxygen support as needed
- Prioritize infection prevention, fall prevention, and patient safety at all times
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote positive patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic
