Contract | Days | 3x12 Hours (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Perform continuous cardiac monitoring including interpretation of dysrhythmias using bedside monitors with telemetry, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry capabilities
- Float within scope to other units as needed to meet facility demands
- Participate in every other weekend rotation — this requirement is non-negotiable
- Document patient care and clinical assessments using Epic electronic health records
- Be prepared to support emergency response operations during hurricane season (June through November)
Required Qualifications
- Active South Carolina RN license or valid Compact RN license — must be in hand prior to start date
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Demonstrated experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible at the standard rate; local candidates within 60 miles will be considered
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a community hospital setting
- Familiarity with Epic charting system
