Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Monitor and interpret telemetry, including dysrhythmia interpretation, using bedside monitors with telemetry, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry capabilities
- Rotate every other weekend as a non-negotiable scheduling requirement
- Float within scope to other units as needed to meet facility staffing needs
- Document patient care and assessments using Epic electronic health record system
- Be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing experience
- Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Demonstrated experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates within 60 miles will be considered but are given lower priority
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a community hospital setting
- Familiarity with Epic charting system
- First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply
