Contract | Full-Time | Days (3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a telemetry/neurology unit within a short-term acute care, Level II Trauma Center environment
- Care for post-surgical neurology patients and patients with varied neurological diagnoses
- Administer and interpret the NIH Stroke Scale accurately and consistently
- Maintain a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio in accordance with unit standards
- Float between units or sister facilities as operationally required
- Document all patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license; Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- Neurology RN experience required, including comfort with the NIH Stroke Scale and post-surgical neurology patient care
- Willingness to commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal; post-offer RTO requests may not be considered
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a teaching hospital or Level II Trauma Center setting
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and neurological assessment tools
- Prior experience floating between multiple units or facilities
