Registered Nurse – Telemetry (Neurology Experience Required)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a telemetry unit serving a variety of neurology diagnoses
- Utilize the NIH Stroke Scale and other neurological assessment tools as part of routine patient monitoring
- Maintain a patient assignment ratio of 1:5
- Float between units within the facility as operationally needed
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
- Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of neurology nursing experience required
- At least 1 year of overall RN experience required
- Valid RN license required; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- Proficiency with Epic charting system
- Must submit all RTO and scheduling requests upfront at the time of submission — post-offer RTO requests may not be considered
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a short-term acute care or Level II Trauma Center environment
- Familiarity with neurology-specific patient populations and care protocols
- Experience floating between units or sister facilities
