Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 12-bed Progressive Care Unit serving a mixed medical patient population
- Maintain a patient ratio of 4:1 in alignment with unit staffing standards
- Collaborate with a night shift team that typically includes a charge nurse coordinator, RNs, and patient care technicians
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
- Participate in unit float rotation as needed
- Contribute to a team-oriented environment with a positive, professional attitude
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in the state of Texas (or compact license eligibility)
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a PCU, IMC, or Step-Down setting
- Proficiency or ability to quickly adapt to Meditech EMR
- Ability to commit to a 13-week travel assignment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in a PCU or Step-Down environment
- Familiarity with Meditech electronic medical records
- Strong teamwork skills and a consistently positive, adaptable attitude
