PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE- Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
REQUIRED PROCEDURES- Sedation procedures (onboarding modules required)
JOB REQUIREMENTS- Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine (ABEM, ABIM, or ABFM)
- Licenses: Active unrestricted LA Medical License, DEA License with LA address, LA Controlled Substance & Supervising Physician License (PA supervision)
- DEA / CDS: Active DEA with LA address and LA Controlled Substance license
- Certifications: ACLS, PALS required; ATLS if not ABEM certified
- Experience: New Grad Accepted
- Other Qualifications: Proof of CMEs for past 2 years, case logs for past 2 years, immunizations (flu, TB, COVID), sedation modules, $100K/$300K malpractice coverage plus LPCF enrollment
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide 24-hour emergency department physician coverage
- Supervise and oversee NP/PA providers as required
- Manage acute care patients, including stabilization and treatment
- Perform procedures including sedation as per facility requirements
- Maintain compliance with credentialing, licensing, and malpractice requirements
