PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE- Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
- Credentialing Timeline: 90 days
REQUIRED PROCEDURESJOB REQUIREMENTS- Board: BC in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine
- Licenses: Active LA medical license, DEA with LA address, LA Controlled Substance, and Supervising Physician License
- DEA / CDS: Active DEA with LA address and LA Controlled Substance license
- Certifications: ACLS, ATLS (if not ABEM), PALS
- Experience: Residency completion in EM, FM, or IM; new grads accepted
- Other Qualifications: Documentation of case logs and CME for past 2 years; immunizations (Flu, TB, Covid)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide 24-hour physician coverage in the Emergency Department.
- Supervise NP/PA providers as required.
- Perform emergency medicine procedures including sedation.
- Manage patient care with acuity Level 3.
- Maintain compliance with credentialing, immunization, and malpractice requirements.
