Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 3 x 12-hour shifts per week | Expected 36 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in a Progressive Care / Transplant unit requiring close monitoring and specialized treatment
- Manage post-surgical and medically complex patients as they transition from acute or critical care settings
- Administer prescribed treatments and medications while continuously evaluating patient conditions
- Coordinate care and communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
Required Qualifications
- Valid, active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Proven clinical experience in a PCU, intermediate care, or stepdown setting
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for managing medically complex patients
- Commitment to patient-centered care and collaborative teamwork
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a transplant or specialized progressive care environment
- Familiarity with post-surgical patient management and care protocols
- Experience working night shifts in a fast-paced acute care hospital setting
