Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 12-Hour Shifts | Expected 36 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency nursing care within a 92-bed unit serving a high-acuity patient population
- Manage patients presenting with acute stroke, seizures, congestive heart failure, sepsis, acute MI, trauma, and diabetes-related conditions
- Care for neuro-medicine and neurosurgical subspecialty populations including ischemic, hemorrhagic, and SAH stroke presentations
- Administer and monitor IV drips and telemetry in accordance with unit protocols
- Maintain a 1:4 RN-to-patient staffing ratio
- Fulfill weekend commitment of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license (Compact license accepted)
- BLS certification – American Heart Association
- ACLS certification – American Heart Association
- PALS certification – American Heart Association
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
- Telemetry and IV drip experience required
- Must reside at least 80 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Strong Level I Trauma experience
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
- ESI Triage training
- Experience with EPIC electronic health records
