Contract | Nights | 8 or 13-week assignments | Expected 38 or 48 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Staff a 28-bed Inpatient Observation Unit in a fast-paced, acute care environment with changing patient acuity
- Care for a diverse patient population ranging from lower to higher acuity, including medical beds, trauma overflow beds, and mid-holds
- Adapt quickly to shifting clinical demands and patient needs within the observation unit setting, located near the ED
- Float to other areas of competency as required
- Participate in holiday coverage as expected
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of like experience in specialty within an acute care setting
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- PALS certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification preferred
- Prior experience in an inpatient observation or Med/Surg unit
- Comfort working in high-acuity environments with trauma overflow patient populations
