Contract | Nights | 3 x 12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care on a surgical unit specializing in ENT, head and neck, and bariatric surgery patients
- Care for patients with tracheostomies and laryngectomies, including airway management and post-operative monitoring
- Deliver pre- and post-operative nursing care for general surgery, bariatric surgery, and head and neck surgery patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Monitor and document patient status, recognizing and responding to changes in condition
Required Qualifications
- Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license — must be in hand at time of submission
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Demonstrated experience as a surgical RN, with proficiency in surgical nursing care
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience caring for ENT patients, including those with tracheostomies and laryngectomies
- Background in general surgery, bariatric surgery, or head and neck surgery units
- Familiarity with post-operative airway management protocols
