Contract | Nights | Monday–Sunday, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on an acute medical/surgical unit
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for med/surg patients
- Monitor and document patient status using NIHSS assessments as required
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
- Fulfill holiday obligations: expected to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Medical/Surgical nursing
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
