Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Emergency Room. This position provides emergency nursing care in an acute care setting, serving patients across neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups. The assignment includes 12-hour night shifts with variable start times and a 1:4 patient ratio.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts with variable 3:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. start times; 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of emergency nursing experience; certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); valid compact state license in hand at submission; proficiency with intracranial pressure monitoring and triage.
- Preferred Qualifications: First-time travelers are accepted.
- Additional Information: Patient ratios are 1:4 across day, night, and weekend shifts. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. The assignment serves neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. The care environment includes 18 rooms and 25 beds, with support from physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy. Three of the following five holidays must be worked: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, or New Years Day.
