Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Specialty Nurse Dallas, Texas
This position involves providing specialized nursing care in a Bone Marrow Transplant Unit within a healthcare facility. The role requires managing critically ill patients, including those on ventilators and requiring complex treatments such as CRRT and titrated drips, ensuring comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education, and Experience: ACLS and BLS certifications required; minimum of 1 year of ICU experience, including titrating drips and ventilator management.
- Schedule: Day shift with 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Strong ICU experience, including titrating drips and ventilator management; ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Preferred Qualifications: CRRT experience, transplant experience (Kidney, Pancreas, Liver).
- Responsibilities: Total care of critically ill patients, including turning, dressing changes, trach care, and titrating drips.
- Additional Information: Unit has 10 beds, patient ratios of 2:1, utilizes Meditech EMR, and requires compassion, good rapport with physicians, and excellent teamwork skills. Report at 6:45 AM or 6:45 PM, clock in/out for lunch, with weekends rotating.
