PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE- Hospital Privieges Required: Yes (cross credentialing at multiple facilities)
JOB REQIREMENTS- Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABEM)
- Licenses: Active LA Medical License, CDS, DEA with LA address
- DEA / CDS: Active DEA and CDS required
- Certifications: ACLS, ALS, PALS (if not BC in EM)
- Experience: Residency trained in specialty required
- Other Qualifications: CME past 2 years, case logs past 2 years, health attestation, interview with medical director
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients of all ages.
- Supervise and collaborate with advanced practice providers and scribes.
- Perform emergency procedures including intubation, central line placement, and laceration repair.
- Document patient care in a timely manner.
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement and departmental meetings.
