Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)
General Information
Join a dynamic team in the Emergency Room, where you will play a crucial role in delivering patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Unit Overview
- Number of Beds: 22 (additional vertical space for extra patients)
- Staffing: Approximately 50 staff members
- Patient Ratios: 1:4
- Type of Equipment: Phillips & GE Monitors, Level 1 Rapid Infuser
- Electronic Medical Records: Meditech (EDM)
Shift Details
- Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Frequency: Every other weekend, at least one Friday and one Monday over a four-week schedule
Key Responsibilities
- Perform cardioversion and central line placements
- Manage cardiac arrests and IV insertions
- Conduct EKGs, pacemaker interrogations, and follow protocols for Code Stroke and Code Sepsis
- Prepare suture and abscess setups
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a relevant emergency care setting
Required Certifications:
Skills:
- Must Have: Strong IV skills in both adults and pediatrics, excellent communication skills
- Preferred: Experience with trauma care, TNCC certification, and familiarity with Meditech
