Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse - Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing comprehensive emergency care to a diverse patient population, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. The role requires delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment within a 64-bed Emergency Department.
Job Details
- Position: Emergency Room Nurse
- Shift: Nights, from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 48 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Active New York license and all RN licenses, current AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system EPIC, documented travel experience of at least 2 years in the Emergency Department with some Pediatric experience, valid drivers license with matching address, and experience matching the specialty.
- Preferred Qualifications: Charge nurse certification is highly preferred.
- Additional Information: Floating rotation may be required. Scrub color for shifts is navy blue. The ED handles common diagnoses including stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. Specialty equipment used includes Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
- Submission Requirements: Up-to-date resume including travel experience, skills checklist matching the specialty, verification of licenses (RTO included at submission), and documentation of compliance with all current certifications.
