Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse Location: Rochester, NY. This position involves providing urgent care to adult and geriatric patients in a state-of-the-art emergency department. The role requires managing a wide range of emergency diagnoses, utilizing advanced equipment, and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
Job Details
- Position: Registered Nurse ER (Adult)
- Shift Schedule: Rotating shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Active New York Single State Registered Nurse license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS certifications, 1 year of clinical experience in emergency care, and Epic charting system experience.
- Clinical Skills: IV therapy (blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, IV starts), ventilator management (CPAP/BiPAP), neuro-trauma, stroke care, spinal cord injury, cardiac monitoring, emergency care for adult and pediatric patients, isolation precautions, triage, and pediatric spinal cord injury management.
- Unit Details: Ratios of 1:5, adult and geriatric patient population, floating within skill set, flexible scrub color.
- Responsibilities: Respond to all emergency diagnoses, utilize specialized equipment including Bair hugger and rapid infuser, interpret dysrhythmias, manage ventilated and critically ill patients, and adhere to safety and procedural protocols.
- Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional information: Candidates will float within their skill set, and must submit scheduling and special requests upon submission.
