Job Details
- Position Description: Telemetry, Labor and Delivery, Emergency, and Critical Care RNs will take an onsite proctored Dysrhythmia Test; this is a PASS/FAIL assessment.
- Certifications & Education Requirements: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications; active license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
- Experience Requirements: Minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical experience in the specialty area.
- Shift: 12-hour shifts, day hours, beginning at 6:45 AM, with schedules made approximately 3 weeks in advance based on seniority.
- Schedule: 36 hours per week.
- Unit Notes: The unit is highly busy and typically at full capacity with 38 patients, emphasizing bedside shift reports, patient experience, HCAHPS, and core measures.
- Additional Responsibilities: RNs must be capable of reading and interpreting telemetry strips, including those from GE Apex Telemetry monitors, and must pass the onsite dysrhythmia exam.
- Floating: Float to 4 West or Medical/Surgical departments as needed.
- Dress Code: Navy scrubs.
- Orientation: One shift dedicated to unit-specific training.
- Submission Requirements: Must be able to submit license for verification.
