Contract | Rotating Days and Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Day: 7:00am–7:30pm | Night: 7:00pm–7:30am
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry setting
- May float to additional units to care for the same patient population based on operational needs
- Perform and interpret ECG rhythm recognition as assessed during orientation
- Administer and manage medications safely in accordance with facility standards, as evaluated through orientation assessments
- Participate in rotating holiday coverage, expected to work at least every other holiday
- Maintain active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications throughout the duration of the contract
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — permanent Ohio license or compact state license required and must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 1 year of permanent employment experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry
- Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
- Active ACLS certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
- Active NIHSS certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
- One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months is required; co-worker references will not be accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience gained within a single facility or location is preferred, though combined experience across locations may be considered
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and ECG rhythm interpretation
- Experience working in a large academic or high-volume acute care hospital environment
