**NO RTO FOR THIS CONTRACT, 8 WEEKS, FIRM START DATE***Job Description: ED RN for CPMC Davies Emergency Department; Provides competent, compassionate and cost-effective patient care in accordance with unit, department, hospital policies, scientific principles, evidence-based nursing practice/process, nursing objectives and standards of care.Requirements:- CA RN Licensure- BLS (AHA)- ACLS- PALS- NIHSS - 1 year of ED RN experienceShift: 3 x 12 Variable shifts ranging from 7a-7p, 11a-11p, 3p-3a, 7p-7aOn Call/Weekend Requirement: every other weekend rotation required; no call**traveler will be required to float to other CPMC campuses for support if/when census permits within scope of practice**Additional Role Expectations:Assess and prioritize patients in a fast-paced emergency setting, respond to changes in condition, and coordinate timely care with the multidisciplinary team. Maintain accurate documentation and follow emergency and patient-safety protocols.Candidates should be prepared to collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, maintain professional communication, and follow all applicable patient-safety, infection-prevention, and documentation standards.
