Registered Nurse - ER | Travel | Flossmoor, IL
Assignment Overview
Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room, working across three offsite clinics in Flossmoor, Calumet City, and Tinley Park, IL. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced ER setting, providing care to a diverse patient population ranging from infants to geriatrics.
Assignment Details
- Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2116.8 (negotiable)
- Work schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts
- Self-scheduling with weekend coverage
- Charting system: Epic
- Orientation hours: 12
Responsibilities
- Manage emergency room patients with conditions such as abdominal pain, acute psychosis, asthmatic attacks, burns, and more
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias
- Start and maintain IVs, manage splints, and conduct phlebotomy
- Conduct triage and obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG
- Identify and report neglect or abuse cases
- Handle psychiatric holds, manage violent behavior, and oversee mental health conditions
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 1 year of experience
- IL RN license
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Experience with a patient ratio of 4:1 during days
- Skills: Emergency medications, infection management, seizure response, psychiatric care, and more
Preferred:
- Community hospital experience
