Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Complex Medical Unit

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00) | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Complex Medical Unit within an acute care setting
- Manage a patient assignment with ratios that vary according to need, typically 1:6
- Document patient care and clinical information using Cerner EMR
- Participate in orientation activities including completion of unit-specific modules
- Adhere to unit scheduling expectations, including every-other-weekend shifts
Required Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Tennessee RN license or multi-state compact license — must be in hand at time of submittal; pending licensure is not accepted
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a comparable acuity hospital setting
- Prior Cerner EMR experience required
- Must pass a basic dysrhythmia interpretation test and medication test during orientation
- 2 references required; may be pending at time of submittal
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a complex medical or high-acuity inpatient unit
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Familiarity with dysrhythmia interpretation and medication administration protocols
