Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Weekend rotation every 2 weeks
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care/Progressive Care Unit setting
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding appropriately to changes in status
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using EPIC EMR
- Float to other units and/or campuses as needed based on census, within demonstrated competency areas
- Complete required pre-assignment modules and annual compliance requirements prior to and during assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of recent IMC/PCU/Stepdown experience; candidates with 1+ year of recent relevant unit experience may be considered
- ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers are not eligible
- Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible at full rate; candidates residing 90–99.9 miles away may be considered at a reduced rate
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-acuity progressive or stepdown care environment
- Familiarity with travel nursing compliance processes and pre-assignment onboarding requirements
- Strong adaptability and ability to float to qualified units as needed
