Contract | Days | 4x9-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia care and monitoring for patients recovering from surgical or procedural sedation
- Assess and manage patient pain, airway, hemodynamic stability, and level of consciousness in the PACU setting
- Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe patient transitions
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses to care in accordance with facility protocols
- Recognize and respond to post-operative complications in a timely and clinically appropriate manner
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in Georgia or compact state eligibility
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 18 months of PACU experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a high-volume or acute care surgical environment
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) documentation systems
