Contract | Days | Four 9-hour shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch) | No weekends, no weekend call, no holidays
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for patients undergoing IR and special procedures, including IV insertion and delivery of pre-, intra-, and post-procedural care
- Administer and monitor conscious sedation as the primary intra-procedural role across multiple areas including IR suites, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, and X-ray
- Collaborate with interventional physicians, PAs, and IR technologists to ensure patient safety throughout all phases of care
- Support post-procedural care in the IR Lab as needed; additional training will be provided if required
- Float between departments (IR, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, and X-ray) to provide conscious sedation coverage as needed
- Maintain flexibility to assist with a varied and dynamic daily caseload averaging approximately 4 cases per day
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology (IR) experience required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- PALS certification required
- Comfort and competency working with pediatric patients
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Critical care background in ICU or Emergency Department settings
- Experience with EPIC EMR
- Ability to adapt quickly across multiple imaging and procedural environments
