Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on an Orthopedic, Spine, and Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit with a 1:7 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Participate in float assignments across applicable units as needed
- Support nursing students and contribute to clinical education alongside the provision of direct patient care
- Complete required orientation modules, including online computer-based learning (CBLs), during the designated orientation period
- Maintain compliance with all facility and travel compliance requirements, including timely completion of drug testing and fit testing per CDC guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical and/or Telemetry experience
- AHA BLS certification required (AHA is the only accepted form; all other certifications will not meet compliance requirements)
- Must complete Relias EKG testing within 72 hours of signing; two attempts allowed — failure of both attempts will result in cancellation
- Must be available to complete drug testing within 12–14 calendar days prior to start date, with availability for a second lab visit if needed
- Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in Orthopedic or Spine nursing
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Comfort with floating to multiple units within the same specialty area
