Assignment Overview
Join the Surgical Acute team as a Registered Nurse, providing post-operative care in an acute care setting. Ideal candidates will have strong critical thinking skills, effective communication ability, and a good bedside manner, with experience in wound care, IV therapy, and managing various lines and drains.

- Nurse: Patient Ratios: Days 4-5, Nights 5-6
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Rotates every other holiday
- Floating: Required, will float to units with similar experience level
Responsibilities
- Provide post-operative care and manage trauma and overflow medical patients
- Perform dressing changes, wound care, and IV therapy
- Manage pain, drains, NGs, central lines, and TPN
- Collaborate with Charge Nurse and House Supervisor during shifts
- Utilize critical thinking skills and teamwork in patient care
Qualifications
Required:
- Active IL license or application in process
- BLS certification (AHA)
- Experience in post-op care
- Critical thinking skills and good bedside manner
