Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an intensive care unit with a focus on burn care patients
- Utilize critical care nursing skills to assess, monitor, and manage acutely ill patients
- Administer treatments and interventions in accordance with established clinical protocols, including those specific to burn care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Maintain PALS certification and apply pediatric advanced life support skills as required for burn care
- Float to other departments, units, or facilities within the system as operationally needed
Required Qualifications
- Active California RN License
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required for burn care
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Minimum 1 year of critical care experience
- Prior travel nursing experience within the last 12 months required
- COVID-19 vaccination and booster required; proof must be provided at time of submission
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Burn unit nursing experience strongly preferred
- Minimum 1 year of pediatric nursing experience
- CCRN (Certified Critical Care Nurse), ABLS (Advanced Burn Life Support), or CBRN (Certified Burn Registered Nurse) certification
- Prior experience in a teaching hospital setting
