Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Sunday – Saturday availability required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Telemetry unit during night shift hours
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry data for assigned patients
- Float to other units as required to support staffing needs
- Provide weekend coverage as part of the standard schedule
- Complete required onboarding modules, including electronic health record training, during orientation
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC
Required Qualifications
- Active, valid California RN license — must be in hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience
- ACLS certification — must be in hand at time of application
- BLS certification — must be in hand at time of application
- NIHSS certification — must be in hand at time of application
- EPIC experience required — must be reflected in work history
- No first-time travelers; prior travel nursing experience required
- Two supervisor references required at time of application
- No Nursys or background hits accepted
- Local candidates are welcome and will be considered
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CPI Blue Card from the Crisis Prevention Institute (preferred; required for Float Pool nurses) — must be in hand at time of application if applicable
- Experience floating across multiple units or departments
- Familiarity with UC Learning Center (UCLC) or similar hospital-based learning management systems
