Job Summary
Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated care for adults and adolescents over 15 years of age, requiring critical care expertise.
- Administer and titrate complex IV drips, including vasopressors and antiarrhythmics.
- Monitor patients using advanced telemetry, require ability to interpret and respond to various monitors.
- Participate in rapid response and code teams when required during shifts.
- Float to various inpatient units as needed, excluding Maternity and NICU.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, including adherence to infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years recent ICU experience required.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license for verification of the 50-mile radius rule.
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to interpret telemetry strips and monitor critically ill patients.
- Successful completion of unit-specific open book skills exams during orientation with a score of 90% or above.
