Job Summary
Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse - Neuro PCU/IMC/Stepdown to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to patients in a 48-bed unit specializing in Neurology and Neurosurgery.
- Monitor and manage EEG monitoring for patients with neurological conditions.
- Adjust patient care according to varying patient ratios in a mixed acuity unit.
- Float within scope to various departments to meet facility staffing needs.
- Administer and manage drips such as Nitro, Heparin, and Insulin.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC charting system.
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nebraska (or ability to obtain within contract timeline).
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a large, urban hospital setting with a focus on neuro stepdown care.
- Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and Basic life support (BLS) certifications required.
- Strong ability to manage diverse patient diagnoses including strokes, aneurysms, and more.
- Experience with EPIC charting system is mandatory.
- Ability to float to various units as required by facility needs.
