Job Summary: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) Wausau, Wisconsin
An Emergency Room Registered Nurse is responsible for providing timely, patient-centered care in a fast-paced Trauma Level II environment. The role requires EPIC charting and clinical readiness across a range of patient needs, including stroke, cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, geriatrics, and respiratory presentations. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating 12-hour variable shifts; minimum 48 hours per week, with shift start times that may include 05:0017:00, 09:0021:00, 10:0022:00, and 11:0023:00, and occasional flex to 14:0002:00 or 17:0005:00.
- Required Qualifications: Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) ARC or AHA; Associate Degree or Certificate; minimum 5 years of experience; at least 1 year of travel experience; Trauma Level II experience required; EPIC charting experience required; ability to work independently, manage change, and complete tasks timely.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree.
- Additional Information: Float: May be required to float to other locations. On-call/call back: 12 hours in a 6-week period; response time 30 minutes; can be low census and put on call; call back minimum is 2 hours. Weekend/holiday requirements: Every other weekend and every other holiday. Vaccination/masking: During flu season, if flu and COVID vaccination are declined, a mask must be worn at all times (policy compliance is mandatory).
