Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Expected 36 hours/week | Rotating weekends
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 32-bed Emergency Department serving a birth-to-death patient population in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Apply critical care thinking and clinical skills across a broad range of diagnoses and treatments, including strokes, STEMIs, and trauma presentations
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5 while delivering strong patient and family experience
- Operate and document within the Cerner EHR system
- Float to other areas as needed based on established competencies
- Adhere to call requirements, which may include push-back hours depending on census
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of experience
- ACLS certification required
- PALS or ENPC certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Cerner EHR experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required — first-time travelers are not eligible
- Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting
- Clinical experience managing stroke, STEMI, and trauma patients
- Energetic, knowledgeable, and able to maintain stamina in a high-volume environment
