Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Expected 36 or 48 hours/week | Rotating Shifts (Days/Evenings/Nights) | Includes floating, weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, and charge duties per unit needs
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume, fast-paced Adult Emergency Department managing more than 100,000 visits annually
- Deliver nursing care to a diverse patient population within one of the busiest trauma centers in the region
- Assist with boarder patient management as needed
- Perform telemetry monitoring and interpretation as part of routine ED care
- Rotate across shifts including days, evenings, and nights, with availability for weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments
Required Qualifications
- Active New York State RN License (NY license required)
- Minimum of two (2) years of Emergency Department experience
- Telemetry experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience in an Emergency Room setting required
- BLS certification – American Heart Association only
- ACLS certification – American Heart Association only
- NIHSS certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a Level I trauma center environment
- Comfort with high patient volumes and complex, multi-acuity cases
- Experience functioning in a charge nurse capacity
