Assignment Overview
Seeking a dedicated RN for the Adult Medical Speciality Unit, focusing on acute care. Ideal candidates will have experience in a similar care setting and possess strong skills in patient care and communication.
Assignment Details
- Facility Type: Acute
- Shift Details: 3-12 Hour Days, 7-7:30
- Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2565 (negotiable)
- Number of Beds: 56 (private and semi-private)
- Nurse to Patient Ratios: 1:4-5 from 07-2300 & 1:5-6 from 23-0730
- Charting System: EPIC
- Floating Requirements: Rotation to any other acute care gen med area
Responsibilities
- Monitor patient health and administer basic care
- Manage central lines, tracheostomies, and chest tubes
- Assist with RT Equipment - Bipap/Cpap for sleep apnea
- Collaborate with PCTs for vital signs, accucheks, bladder scans, and ADLs
Qualifications
Required:
- Active IL license or confirmation of application initiation
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- Experience with central lines, tracheostomies, chest tubes
- Ability to titrate Heparin and Lasix drips
Preferred:
- Experience with EPIC charting system
- Travel experience on a MedSurg Floor
