Assignment Overview
Join our Surgical Acute unit as a Travel Registered Nurse, where you'll provide care for post-operative surgical and trauma patients. Ideal candidates will possess strong critical thinking skills and experience in post-op care. A team-oriented approach and good bedside manner are essential.
Assignment Details
- Facility Type: Acute
- Shift Details: 12-hour nights (19:30 - 07:30)
- Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2565 (negotiable)
- Charting System: EPIC
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Number of Openings: 2
- Local Candidate Policy: Reduced rate for local candidates (within 50 miles)
Responsibilities
- Provide post-operative care to surgical and trauma patients
- Manage wound care, IV therapy, and pain management
- Collaborate with a team to ensure patient outcomes
- Facilitate patient education and discharge planning
- Assist with CPAP and high-flow oxygen management
Qualifications
Required:
- Active IL nursing license or application in progress
- BLS certification (AHA approved)
- Experience in post-op care and critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
- Negative drug screen
Preferred:
- Experience with EPIC charting system
