Contract | Rotating Days and Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts | Day: 7:00am–7:30pm / Night: 7:00pm–7:30am
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit, delivering safe and effective nursing interventions
- Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms and telemetry data as part of ongoing patient assessment
- May float to other units within the same patient population as operationally needed
- Participate in holiday rotation, working at least every other holiday as scheduled
- Complete required orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate (minimum acceptable score required; maximum of 2 attempts permitted)
- Maintain compliance with annual hands-on competency requirements and facility-assigned modules
Required Qualifications
- Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license — must be in hand at time of submission; no pending licenses accepted
- Minimum 1 year of permanent (non-travel) experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry or the specialty being applied for
- Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification — must be in hand at time of submission
- Active ACLS certification — must be in hand at time of submission
- Active NIHSS certification — must be in hand at time of submission
- One professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months (co-worker references are not accepted)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Telemetry and ECG rhythm interpretation experience in an acute care setting
- Experience working within a large health system or academic medical center environment
- Familiarity with electronic health records and module-based compliance tracking platforms
