Contract | Rotating Days and Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit serving a defined patient population
- May be required to float to other units within the same patient population based on operational needs
- Perform and interpret ECG rhythm recognition as assessed during orientation
- Administer and manage medications safely, with competency verified via assessment during orientation
- Participate in rotating holiday coverage, expected to work at least every other holiday
- Complete annual hands-on competency requirements and facility-assigned modules as required throughout the contract
Required Qualifications
- Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license — must be in hand at time of submission; no pending licenses accepted
- Minimum 1 year of permanent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry specialty required
- Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required — must be in hand at time of submission
- Active ACLS certification required — must be in hand at time of submission
- Active NIHSS certification required — must be in hand at time of submission
- One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months is required; co-worker references are not accepted
- No open background case hits; facility does not accept any license hits
- Locals are welcome and accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience within a single location for the required specialty tenure is preferred, though not required
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and ECG rhythm interpretation
- Experience working in a large, high-acuity acute care hospital environment
