Contract | Rotating Days and Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts | Day: 7:00am–7:30pm | Night: 7:00pm–7:30am
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit, delivering high-quality nursing services to an acute care patient population
- Monitor and interpret ECG cardiac rhythms and telemetry data, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols and standards
- Potential to float to other units within the same patient population as operationally needed
- Participate in holiday scheduling, with an expectation to work at least every other holiday
- Complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation with an acceptable passing score (maximum 2 attempts permitted)
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — must hold a permanent Ohio license or a Compact state license; license must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 12 months of permanent employment experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing
- Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
- Active ACLS certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
- Active NIHSS certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
- One professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months, is required for submission
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience gained within a single facility or location (combined experience across locations is also considered)
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation in an acute care setting
- Prior travel nursing experience in a large academic or high-volume hospital environment
