Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an intensive care unit with a focus on burn care patients
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans for critically ill patients
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in accordance with facility standards
- Float to other departments, units, or facilities as needed to meet staffing requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active California RN License
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required for Burn Care
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Minimum 1 year of critical care experience
- Prior travel nursing experience within the last 12 months required
- COVID-19 vaccination and booster required; proof must be provided at time of submission
- Willingness and ability to float to other units or facilities as operationally needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior burn unit experience strongly preferred
- Minimum 1 year of pediatric nursing experience
- CCRN (Certified Critical Care Nurse) certification
- ABLS (Advanced Burn Life Support) certification
- CBRN (Certified Burn Registered Nurse) certification
- Prior teaching hospital experience
